At just 17 years old, Jayden Martorana from Montreal, Canada is already making waves in competitive drifting. His passion for cars started at a young age, and by the time he was 13 he had begun learning the fundamentals of drifting and developing his skills behind the wheel.

Inspired by watching drivers like James Deane, Matt Field and Fredric Aasbo compete at the highest level, Martorana set his sights on pursuing the sport seriously.
Despite his young age, he has already achieved major milestones, including finishing second in the US Drift Circuit Formula Drift Pro-Am series at just 14 years old. He has since stepped up to compete in the Formula Drift ProSpec series as he continues progressing through the ranks.
Behind the wheel, he competes in a purpose-built Chevrolet Corvette. The car is powered by a 416 cubic inch LS engine paired with a Vortech supercharger, delivering serious performance on track. The setup also includes a G Force dogbox transmission along with Wisefab and Feal suspension components, creating a well-balanced drift platform capable of producing around 800 horsepower.

Beyond the track, we love to look into the personal lives of these stars!
What is your favourite track or circuit to drive and why?
One of his favourite venues is Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. The layout is ideal for close proximity tandem drifting, making it one of the most exciting tracks to compete on.
What hobbies do you have outside of racing?
Outside of drifting, Martorana enjoys spending time around cars and continuing to learn more about driving and performance. Much of his free time is still connected to the automotive world as he continues to develop his skills both on and off the track.
Any driving tips you would give to someone starting out in motorsport?
For drivers just getting started, Martorana believes seat time is the most important factor in improving. The more time spent behind the wheel, the faster you will progress. He also recommends investing in a driving simulator, as it allows drivers to practice and refine their skills even when they are not at the track.
Dream street car?
When it comes to dream street cars, the ultimate goal would be the incredible Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
