At just 19 years old, Jake Thompson Little from Mooresville, North Carolina is building one of the most exciting up-and-coming programs in American drifting. A naturally competitive person, Jake found his way into the sport after years of playing high end basketball, eventually discovering drifting through late-night donuts in parking lots behind warehouses in his Dodge Charger Scat Pack.

Now competing in the professional ranks, Jake is focused not only on driving but also on building a strong program around him. He takes inspiration from figures like Vaughn Gittin Jr., particularly on the business and branding side of motorsport. With a growing team and a clear vision, Jake believes they are building one of the strongest and most premium rising programs in drifting across the United States.
Behind the wheel, Jake pilots a serious Corvette-based drift program. His primary competition car is a Chevrolet Corvette C6 with a full C7 front-end conversion, powered by a brutal 444ci small block NASCAR engine producing around 868 horsepower and 751 ft-lb of torque, revving out to 7800 rpm.
Beyond the track, we love to learn a bit more about the drivers themselves.
What is your favourite track or circuit and why?
Jake’s favourite track is the famous Gamblers Figure 8 layout at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. It holds a special place for him as the first track where he ever watched drifting in person.
Any driving tips for beginners?
His biggest advice for new drivers is to invest in a realistic simulator as early as possible. Developing car control and understanding drifting fundamentals in a simulator can fast-track progression before even getting into a real car.
What hobbies do you have outside of racing?
Outside of drifting, Jake enjoys running and playing golf when he’s not focused on the team and program.
Dream street car?
While there are plenty of dream builds on the list, right now the top choice would be a heavily modified Lexus LC 500 — sitting low on bags, running chrome wheels, and finished with an aggressive body kit.
