Alberto Meregalli is a 28-year-old drifter from Moncalieri, Turin, Italy who has built a strong reputation in the European drifting scene through years of competition and development. His passion for motorsport began after attending a drift event in his hometown, where he immediately fell in love with the discipline and decided to pursue it himself.

A naturally competitive person, Meregalli quickly pushed himself into higher levels of competition. After several seasons competing in the Italian championship, he achieved one of the biggest milestones of his career by winning the national title in 2022. This season he has taken on a new challenge by moving to Spain to compete in a different environment and continue developing as a driver with the goal of progressing into even higher-level championships.

Meregalli currently competes in a 2010 BMW M3 E92 running on North59 wheels and Extreme Tires. The car is powered by a turbocharged S54 engine sourced from a BMW M3 E46, paired with a Samsonas sequential gearbox, Winters differential, and a dedicated Link ECU setup. The package produces around 950 horsepower, with an aggressive power delivery that makes the car especially exciting to drive.

Beyond the track, we love to learn a little more about the drivers themselves.

What is your favourite track or circuit to drive and why?

His favourite circuit is Autodromo di Modena. The track is both fast and technical, reaching high speeds before entering a tight S-section that makes it a challenging and rewarding layout to drive.

Any driving tips for beginners?

Meregalli’s advice is simple: do what feels natural and comfortable for you, and approach it with determination if you want to achieve your goals.

What hobbies do you have outside of racing?

Outside of drifting he enjoys freeride skiing and trying different sports. He prefers not to limit himself when it comes to new experiences.

Dream street car?

His dream drift platform would be a Chevrolet Corvette C6.
